Hilton Head Island is located in the southeast corner of South Carolina on the Atlantic ocean. It is 12 miles long and spans about 5 miles at its widest point. The local topography is a blend of salt water marshes and sandy warm ocean beaches. And, the surrounding area is known as the Low Country.

There are distinct communities on Hilton Head, each with their own unique appeal. Many are gated, self contained communities, offering an array of amenities from golf and tennis club memberships to private beach access. Other areas are open to the public, offering beach access to everyone.

Local Climate - Hilton Head

If you like the idea of four seasons, you're going to enjoy our delightful Hilton Head weather. Much to our advantage, the local climate is considered semi-tropical. The mid-winter temperature will customarily range from 60ºs during the day to the lower 40ºs at night. The spring and fall seasons are an absolute delight, with mild day-time and evening temperatures. Although our seasons are not very distinct, you'll still have a change of weather with each new season.
